Picking Up the Girls in Greenville

The weekend before we moved into the new place we went back down to Greenville, SC, to pick up the girls. They had spent the last week and a half with Kerrie's parents. It was certainly the longest we had ever been away from K and she missed us quite a bit - and we missed her and Mo pretty bad too. On Saturday, we went to swim at a friend's pool and then later went downtown to where they have one of the most beautiful city parks I have seen (picture above and ones below were taken by Mo). We planned to go to the Greenville minor league baseball game (they were formerly the Braves but now are a Red Sox affiliate). Problem was the only tickets left were for the lawn. No chairs, threatening weather, and a lovely pregnant bride equaled no ballgame.
Jump....and splash.
After the pool cleaning pick and this one holding the nose, Mo banned me from taking further pictures of her.

Mo thought this sign was funny.....considering....

Here is the statue for Nathaniel Greene, for whom the city was named. Apparently, at some point, the extra "e" in his name was dropped from the city. I have been reading a lot about the Revolutionary Era (I'm sure that has nothing to do with us moving back to DC) and did not realize what a pivotal role Greene played.
