The Journey Home
Disclaimer - It is 1:26 am and the little guy just had his midnight snack and is off to sleep again. I tell you this in case I happen to misspell anything in this post. Just sayin'.
So when we last posted, we were hoping to hear that we could head home. And so it happened. Sunday around noon, mom and baby got their walking papers and we were headed home. Crazy that we have already been here three days with him. He has adjusted pretty well though - still eating, sleeping, and pooping. And repeat. Since Sunday, he has been to the doctor (no shots), Target (got loads of stuff), had a few baths (not happy), and picked up his big sister from kindergarten. Speaking of Target, while we were there, a lady comes up to me and says, "Oh, how sweet. How old?" in a manner like she is expected me to say four or five weeks. I respond, "Four days." Her response, "Well, you are definitely not a first timer then." And there you have it. Enjoy.
Getting ready to go. Notice the naval sensor and two anklets. You also don't see an arm bracelet. The little guy was heavily secured.
All dressed.
And we're rollin'.
The naval sensor comes off.
All strapped up.
Obviously, the ride home took a lot of energy out of the guy.

C in his new bouncy chair.

This is one of those pajama outfits you just can't take a black and white picture of.

C taking a close look at his Poppa and the shirt he is wearing.

While C loved on his Poppa, this is what he thought of his choice in attire.

The boys.

Monday was the first doctor's visit. He was very happy to be weighed.

Better.

Safe with Mommy again. With a yawn.

Bath time. And not too happy about it.

I told you.

And the recovery by Mom and the sisters.

C getting his first massage - notice no crying on this part.

And done. Tough life I tell you.

Here are some going home videos from Sunday. I am trying a new video server so if they don't work for you please let me know. They seem a little better quality than going thru google. We'll see. Plus, you can change the logo on the lower right hand corner of the video. I have named this TigerOzVision.
Also, a big thanks to Derek for taking all of these videos. Like the pictures above of us leaving the hospital, we would not have gotten these moments without his help in documenting them. Thanks again big brother!
Getting dressed and not exactly happy about it.
Strapping into the seat.
Snapping in the car.
Arriving at the house.
