Day #2 in this Crazy, Crazy World
Saturday was a really fun day at the hospital. Carter got some sleep and mom and dad did too (thankfully). The little guy eats with a quickness, takes care of his business, and heads right back to sleep. Definitely an Osborn. Carter also met his Granddad and Grammie (Kerrie's parents who drove in from the Carolinas), Poppa and Uncle Derek (my dad and brother who both flew in from Tuscaloosa). Poppa and Derek got in town in time to watch the LSU-Alabama game and, as you'll see below, we were all piled in the hospital room to watch. And we just got word that we are headed home this morning.
First thing Saturday morning, the midwife who delivered Carter came in and immediately started laughing about how much me and Carter looked alike, right down to the bed head. The midwife is who took this picture. Notice daddy's eyes - still just a little tired.
Wide-eyed and ready to eat.
Getting some food.
And...done.
Carter meeting Granddad.
And Grammie.
Carter and Poppa.
C and Uncle Derek. C's big cousin Sav will be happy to see a picture of her Daddy with the "little baby." By the way, I haven't mentioned on here yet, but Sav, who just turned two, has started talking quite a bit these last few months and has christened me "Uncle Mack." Good stuff.
C with his big, big sister, who is appropriately dressed for the day.
The hospital football-watching crew. K and Grammie were off to the right coloring Tweety bird.
A big shot of the my gang (can't just say "my girls" or "my ladies" anymore - also, we looked up a good synonym for "gang" and got back "bunch of hooligans" - while that may very well fit, we decided to just stick with "gang") with Poppa, Granmomma, and Uncle D.
And...done for the night (or at least for 3 hours until it is time to eat again).
C meets Poppa.
Carter meeting Uncle D.
