You Know What Is Perfect During a Move - 16 Inches of Sneaux!

posted by The Osborns at 10:14 PM

For those that don't know, we moved onto base housing in Fort Belvoir (about five miles away) the week before Christmas...that's right, we moved five people less than seven days before Santa's arrival. As if this did not present enough of a challenge for the parents, the day after we moved into the house (that is, six days before Christmas) over 16 inches of snow fell on us. Thankfully, all of our furniture, boxes, etc., etc., were under cover and safe from the ridiculousness. And, as you will see above, Santa did find our house after all.

Though we were covered in boxes, we were able to enjoy the snow a bit and get some absolutely wonderful pictures.

Very Norman Rockwell-eque I think.

K at sunset.

On the left is Saturday morning. The right is Saturday at sunset. The level had risen a tad.

Deep.

Making the perfect . . .

Snow Angel.

Life is just a tree swing in a blizzard.

The final tally. The most we have ever seen at one time.
